A trip with my Best!e- Part 3
Hey guys!! I'll get to the story now.
We reached our hotel after the first day of the workshop. We were exhausted. So we all went to our hotel rooms and were given an hour for refreshing ourselves. After that, guess where we were going!? We were going to the MALL!!!!! The kids somehow convinced the teachers to take us to the mall. So we were all very eager to look around the city. I was so excited because, that was my first time in Bangalore with my friends( you probably know that because I told that already). But still I was excited, and so was Pranavaa. Then after an hour, we came out of our rooms. Then the teachers told us to behave properly in the mall and to be careful out there. Then we got on the bus.
After some 20 or 30 minutes, we reached the mall!!!! In the entrance, our teachers told us to pair up in threes. Two older kids and one younger kid. I was with Pranavaa(obviously!) and a fifth grader joined us. We were allowed to bring some money. So we all brought our wallets with us. Sunethra was with two of the younger kids who were a bit close to us. They were so funny and cute. So the teachers gave us 2 hours to explore the mall and told us where to meet after we're done roaming around the mall. We were given some more instructions and then we were dispersed. The little girl and I first wanted to have some snacks. But Pranavaa was telling us that it was a shopping mall and that we were supposed to shop in the mall and not eat. I opened my mouth to argue, but she told me not to. We went to an accessory store. We saw all kinds of cute stuff there. Pranavaa bought some accessories for herself and I too bought some things for myself. Then we went to a bunch of other shops, looked around, and bought some stuff. Pranavaa and I even bought matching water bottles. It was SO CUTE!!! But eventually mine broke:( We went to a bookstore and we got matching notebooks (no, we're not obsessed). The little girl was getting hungry so Pranavaa gave in and got us some gourmet popcorn. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! That was the only thing we ate in the mall. She made us spend every other penny on shopping!!! While we were searching for one particular shop ( Pranavaa wanted to see it) , she was so careless that she dropped her phone TWICE!! She even broke the phone case!! Then it was time.
We went to the meeting point. And we met up with all the others. Then I came to know that all the others finished THEIR DINNER IN THE MALL!!! And all we ate was a cup of popcorn!!! That's where I lost it!! And I turned to look at Pranavaa and she had that 'please-don't-kill-me' look on her face. So were the ones who had to suck up and eat the Hotel's food😒. We walked a LOT and my legs were killing me!!! Then at last we reached the hotel. We had an hour before dinner so sir told us to go to our rooms and chill. The three of us ( Pranavaa, Sunethra, and me) headed to our room and did a haul of the stuff we bought and calculated the total amount with the bills. Then we went to our friend's room to check out the new game he bought. Then we planned on playing it but that didn't work well ( the kids had a silly fight with each other). There were tears (of laughter). So did I mention that we were NOT allowed to visit other rooms? Well we might've broken that rule. Eventually Mam knocked on each of the doors to inform us to head to dinner. Now that part was funny/scary. We had to hide in the RESTROOM to avoid punishment. Then we somehow managed to slip inside our room while Mam was not seeing.
Then we had our dinner. While heading to our room, Pranavaa asked sir at what time we were supposed to wake up the next day. That's when sir told us that there won't be a next day for the workshop. You may be confused now. We were too. Turns out that there was some case hearing the next day which had the potential to cause riots in Bangalore. So for our safety, we were supposed to leave the very next day (and I mean THE VERY NEXT DAY). We were supposed to leave at 3 in the morning!!!!!! And it went downhill from there. We woke up at 3, washed our faces (yeah, we didn't bath), packed our bags and left. That was it. A trip that was already short was now too short.
We reached our school at 11 and there we came to know that all those students who attended the workshop were now direct national finalists!!!! We all were so happy!!! And that was it. Our trip was done!! We had the best days of our life!!!
