A trip with my Best!e
Hey guys! It's been some time. So in this post, I'm gonna be walking you through my experience of the first ever tour I went on with my Bestie.
It was a normal day in school, I was just reading my story book when my English teacher entered my class and called out some random names(or so I thought )and took them with her. Turns out she actually called out those names for a writing competition- Katha. A particular group of students( I was one of them) were selected to write and submit their articles to the school. I was never really interested in that competition at first and I just wrote some boring story and submitted that. After reading that, my english teacher personally called me and told that I should submit another article. She told me that this is a good opportunity to showcase my writing talent. So, I wrote an interesting article and submitted. The following week, when I was talking with Pranavaa (a.k.a. my bestie), I told her that I was selected for this competition and guess what she said? She told that she was also selected for this and she submitted her article just two days before. I was so excited when she told that. We were told that if we are selected in this first level, we would go to Bangalore or Chennai for the second level. We were so excited!!
It was the day when we get to know the students who were selected for the second level. We were all so nervous and excited at the same time. At last, after hours of anticipation, we came to know who were selected for the second level. We both were selected along with some more students. We were so excited!!!!! So, we came to know that we were going to Bangalore for the second level. I was particularly excited because I have never been to Bangalore with my friends. So I started making preparations for the trip way before I was supposed to.
After a week of practice and preparations from the school, we were finally ready for the 2-day workshop which was conducted in Bangalore. We went to school early and boarded the vehicle in which we were supposed to travel. There were kids from elementary who joined the trip with us. We thought that they would ruin the fun out of this trip. And we(the middle school kids) even planned not to open our mouths to them. But it turned out that they were actually not so boring like we thought. They were actually SOOOO fun!!! We even gave them our iPads to play with. So imagine how fun they must've been. We took LOADS of photos with them. Too bad we can't share 'em. The teachers who accompanied us were so fun and sportive. They were AMAZING! The trip wouldn't have been so much fun if it weren't for them. We occupied the back seat of the bus and the kids were in the front.

The whole trip was amazing until.....we were pulled over by the RTO for checking the pollution certificate. Turns out that certificate was expired that same day!!! We were supposed to renew it or else we were not allowed to cross the border. And we were told that it would take HOURS to renew it. So, what did we do? How did we reach? Want to know? Stay alert for the next post!! Thank you for reading!!!(sorry for the cliffhanger)

ReplyDeleteWait, today is friendship's day? Wow, I didn't know. You guys are so lucky you got to go. They don't take us anywhere at my school, only field trips which nobody can go to. When I was in sixth grade, they tried to take us to the U.S. Can you believe it? And one time in sixth, they took us to Silvassa, Gujarat and mom didn't even let me go THERE! All my friends went and they had so much fun! The bully embarrassed himself so bad! Happy friendship's day to all of you, if it is today lmao :)
