Two hours in the dark!!

Soooo, I'm back with another post today!! This story is from the point of view of a person from Singapore who volunteers to help blind people! let's get to the post!!    In Singapore, on a weekend evening, One of the multinational companies that supply us had organized an event to raise funds for a charity for the blind. I was also invited to a Friday event. I accepted the invitation and confirmed my arrival online. About 40 people had come from various fields. Some Indians too!  On the show, first, they showed a video about the lives of the blind. About helping each other, and how they are trying to make life fulfilling! It’s a 15-minute, eye-opening short film that feeds on motivation and excitement. It showed the ordinary people who have the right vision, and those who do not have this vision, without expecting any response, they beautifully described how they do what they can and help make life normal. They highlighted the satisfaction that comes from helping the blin...

Hello! I'm back with another post!!! This post is all about BOOKS!! yayyyy! who are all excited!? (haha ok some of them aren't) But, let's get to the post!!! So I have this HUGE obsession with reading books whenever I'm free. And I thought "why not make a post about it?" and here I am!! I used to read a lot of books when I was younger. I don't know why I started reading books, but I sure don't regret it. Yeah, reading books take you to a whole another world. At least with fictional books.  And while reading books we feel relaxed and it calms our mind. Not only that but, reading books strengthen the brain, increases empathy, builds vocabulary, aids sleep and alleviates depression. These are proven facts!! :D  I first started with reading short stories of various genres. I used to love those short stories because my mom used to read them to me when I was 4 or 5. And later when I learnt to read simple words, I started reading it myself and that helped me ...

Elephants!

Image
Hey guys!!! I am back with another post today!!! So, in this post i am going to be talking about the biggest terrestrial animal in the world: Elephants!!          Elephants have  always been friendly with humans. They have always helped to do works that are not possible by mankind! When there was no such thing as transportation back then, elephants helped humans to carry heavy loads between distant lands. The best example is the significant stone at the top of the Tanjore temple in Tamil Nadu.          Elephants are of so much help to this environment and they complete the ecosystem and yet we treat them very badly. No matter how helpful they are, we humans always take advantage of their kindness and kill them for mere body parts. That is just unbearable! Here are a few things u need to know about elephants and I wish this helps you understand why elephants are important to this environment and why people shouldn’t kill them for th...

The strongest people make time to help others, even if they are struggling with their own!

Hey guys! So today's post is about a video I came across in YouTube. I felt so good while watching it, so decided to make a post and share that with you guys! Hope you like it!  A poor woman in Chennai, Tamil Nadu,  goes to someone she knows and asks for help stating that her husband has left her and that she is helpless. She used to do household works in the apartments. But due to the pandemic, she lost her job. She has two children to raise but has no money in her hands. She says that she can survive if someone helped her buy a sewing machine. She says that she can stitch and earn money through that. As the person she is asking help to, knows her well from her childhood, he spreads the word to various trusts and to friends via WhatsApp. So, after some time, the person gets a call enquiring about the woman's eligibility for this help.              The person replies that she is indeed very poor and that she can benefit well from this ...
